Ding Jiaqi/0379388 Games Studies 2/ Bachelor of interactive spatial design Exercise 2 : Non digital to digital - evolution and remediating this game  The focus of the third week’s course was hands-on experience. Our instructor required us to visit a physical board game store, participate in tabletop games firsthand, and at the same time keep up with our coursework. The theme of this assignment is “From Analog to Digital—The Evolution and Restoration of Games.” I chose UNO , the game I’m most familiar with, as my subject of analysis. 🃏 In my view, the analog version of UNO relies heavily on physical cards and face-to-face interaction among players. Players take turns playing cards that match either the color or number of the previously played card, while using special cards like “Skip,” “Reverse,” and “Draw Two” to disrupt their opponents. In offline matches, it’s common to hear someone suddenly shout “UNO!”🤣 followed by bursts of laughter or tense silence. Players observe each ot...

It's an auto-battler game where 8 players compete against each other by building powerful teams using champions, synergies, and items. The last player standing wins the game. Each round, your team automatically fights a randomly selected opponent. The player's task is to manage resources, choose champions, build a lineup, and optimize placement during preparation phases. 🌟 What Makes It Fun? 1. Strategy Meets Luck Although it’s a strategy game, there's also an element of luck. Champion rolls, item drops, and carousel picks make each match unpredictable and exciting. 2. Diverse Team Compositions Each set introduces unique traits and synergies (e.g., Mag...

Ding Jiaqi/0379388 Games Studies 2/ Bachelor of interactive spatial design Process: After a week, I completed Part A of my PowerPoint. My lecturer reviewed the content and pointed out a few issues: Incorrect information (the building does not use mortise-and-tenon structure). The floor plan is too cluttered and difficult to interpret. The title is inaccurate. The lecturer suggested that I label the floor plan using numbered markers and list the corresponding locations below the image.    The lecturer   gave me a few suggestions: Only the title should be in bold font (but I used bold in the body text as well). The chairs in Part A should be changed to a cute style . The ceiling design in Part A needs to be added. We've kicked off the first assignment of this semester, centered on analyzing interactive elements in stores. The task is split into two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A involves online research, primarily using internet resources to explor...
