Environment design
In class, we completed the homework from the previous lesson: drawing twelve perspective views and finishing the outlines. After the teacher reviewed our pencil sketches, we went over them with ink and added some details to make the drawings look more complete. At the end of the class, the teacher also asked us why we chose this major, and our classmates' answers were all very interesting. The teacher assigned next week's homework: to collect as many movie or magazine photos as possible (including architectural elements), at least 20 images. Based on these photos, we need to create ten abstract paintings that also reflect design concepts.
Week 6
In the previous class, some students, including myself, did not complete the presentation. This class, the teacher asked all students to finish their spatial design presentations.
Week 7
In class, the teacher checked the ten sketches each of us had drawn. Many of us, including me, didn't pass. The teacher asked us to take them back and redraw them. He emphasized again that we should create a new drawing by combining elements from future city images, rather than directly copying from them. I reconsidered and redrew mine. Towards the end of the class, the teacher also showed us how to use Photoshop and some basic operations, which was quite interesting.
Week 9
In this lesson, the teacher provided detailed feedback on the shortcomings of our PowerPoint presentation and offered constructive suggestions for improvement. The teacher carefully reviewed each section of our PPT, pointing out areas where the content could be more structured, visually appealing, or better aligned with the project goals. Additionally, the teacher took the time to check our draft progress, ensuring that we were on the right track and providing guidance on how to refine and enhance our work. This session was incredibly helpful in identifying weaknesses and setting clear directions for the next steps in our project.
Week 11
Class Summary and Reflection
We began creating the interior designs and focused on adding detailed elements to bring the space to life. The process involved translating our ideas into visual representations that showcased the functionality and aesthetic of the interior.
First, we outlined the layout of the space, carefully planning the placement of key features such as furniture, lighting, and pathways.
Next, we added detailed elements to enhance the overall look and feel of the interior. This included selecting appropriate textures, colors, and materials for surfaces.
Additionally, we paid close attention to smaller details that would enhance the user experience. These additions not only improved the functionality of the space but also made it more inviting and visually engaging.
