Week 4 - Fundamentals of Spatial Planning

Class Summary and Reflection

In this lesson, we learned about the principles of spatial design, including the seven Gestalt principles of visual perception (figure and background, proximity, closure, symmetry, continuity, similarity, and simplicity) and the six principles of composition (contrast, proportion, repetition, rhythm, balance, and hierarchy). The teacher showed us many images to help us better understand these concepts and how to apply them in real life and in our work. We also learned how to express these elements using 3D modeling and our own ideas.

Class Summary and Reflection

In this lesson, we did a presentation using PowerPoint. Although it wasn't my turn, I watched many of my classmates' presentations and compared them with my own. I realized my shortcomings and learned from their experiences, then made improvements to my own PowerPoint. I am now confident that I will do well in the upcoming presentation.
