EXERCISE 2: HTML EXERCISE: SIMPLE PERSONAL PROFILE PAGR ——— Ding Jiaqi/0379388  Interactive Design/ Bachelor of interactive spatial design ——— Exercise 2:Website Analysis Page effect:   1.  I created a new note and named it “index.html.” Then I saved it and added it to the website.   2. Then I added a <head> 3. body>: The main content of the webpage begins.  <h1>: Main heading, used to display the title “Welcome To My Webpage.”  <h2>: Subheading, used to display “This is a single webpage dedicated to myself.”  <p>: Paragraph tag. The first paragraph uses <p> to show the date of birth, and <b> (bold) to highlight “28 September 2006.” The second paragraph uses <p> to describe hobbies such as traveling, watching movies, and swimming. <hr/>: Adds a horizontal line. 4.  Same as above, except that <a href="...">blogger</a> is a hyperlink.  Clicking the "blogger" text opens an external...

GAME DEVELOPMENT— INDIVIDUAL ASSET CREATION

GAME DEVELOPMENT— INDIVIDUAL ASSET CREATION ——— Ding Jiaqi/0379388  Game Development/ Bachelor of interactive spatial design ——— Introduction: 1. Core Tasks: Create 1 3D main character model + 1 environmental object model (based on your game idea) and import into Godot. Some students share asset creation experience for 10 mins in W3. 2. Submission: Document the process in your blog, and submit the blog link by 11:59 PM before W3 class. The asset counts towards Continuous Assessment (not the Final Project). ——— Fig 1.1Preview Main Game Character In my game concept, the main characters are a toy bear and a little boy. Since I’m still not sure about the boy’s design style, I decided to start by creating the toy bear first. Because the bear is the one the protagonist owned as a child, I added a few damaged details to show its age and history. Fig 2.1detail Fig 2.2 detail                               ...

ADVANCED MODELING AND ANIMATION

ADVANCED MODELING AND ANIMATION ——— Ding Jiaqi/0379388  Advanced Modeling And Animation/ Bachelor of interactive spatial design —— WEEK 2 In this class, the teacher mainly explained the basic usage of Blender, scalar parameters, and how to use appropriate settings. We followed step by step to create a Ferris wheel model. I fell behind a few times, but with the help of the teacher and classmates, I managed to finish it and learned a lot.

GAMES DEVELOPMENT ( WEEKLY LEARN

Image
GAME DEVELOPMENT ——— Ding Jiaqi/0379388  Game Development/ Bachelor of interactive spatial design —— WEEK 2 At the beginning of the class, the teacher randomly selected a few “lucky” students to come on stage and share their game design plans. The atmosphere was both tense and exciting. I was really nervous, my heart was pounding, worried that I might be chosen — but luckily, my name wasn’t called this time. This allowed me to calmly listen to my classmates’ presentations and gain many new ideas and perspectives from their work. Their game concepts were quite diverse: some focused on level-clearing gameplay, others on puzzle solving, and some were about growth and nurturing. My project falls under the parkour category, which is quite different from theirs. This variety was actually very interesting to me, and it also gave me more inspiration and room to think about how to expand my own design. Later, the teacher taught us the basics of using Blender and how to import Blende...

INTERACTIVE DESIGN ( WEEKLY LEARN

INTERACTIVE DESIGN ——— Ding Jiaqi/0379388  Interactive Design/ Bachelor of interactive spatial design —— WEEK 2 In this course, we focused on the core concepts of user-centered design, which included three main parts: the iterative logic of design thinking, the five key design principles (consistency, simplicity, visibility, feedback, and error prevention), and practical group work. We reviewed the five stages of design thinking — empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test — and discussed how good usability must be supported from the user’s perspective. For example, WhatsApp provides feedback pop-ups when users input phone numbers, allowing future improvements based on user behavior. Our group was assigned the “feedback” principle and created a PPT presentation on this topic. At the end of the lesson, the instructor reviewed our previous website analysis assignments and suggested improvements, including adding more interactive elements, ensuring responsiveness across devi...

PERFORMATIVE MEDIA (WEEKLY LEARN

PERFORMATIVE MEDIA ——— Ding Jiaqi/0379388  Performative Media/ Bachelor of interactive spatial design —— WEEK 2 This week, the teacher first reviewed last week’s content, including the concept of performance media and the input–process–output interaction model, and then guided us to explore “expressive media” in more depth. The main topics covered creative coding and generative art, emphasizing how a balance between “rules + randomness” and continuous iteration can create complex and engaging artistic results through human–computer collaboration. Next, we downloaded and learned to use TouchDesigner, an interactive creation software. At first, the dense network of nodes on the interface felt overwhelming, but with the teacher’s guidance, I followed the steps carefully — for example, selecting the “Noise 1” node to generate dynamic visuals, adjusting colors and parameters, and correctly linking the nodes. In the end, I successfully created my first visual animation, which felt...

SONIC DESIGN - EXERCISE

Image
SONIC DESIGN - EXERCISE  —— Ding Jiaqi/0379388  Sonic Design/ Bachelor of interactive spatial design —— Exercise 1 In this exercise, we need to adjust six samples of the same music with different pitches to make them consistent. I need to identify which tracks don’t match the original soundtrack — they may be too low or too high — and adjust the equalizer settings to keep them consistent. Equalizer 1: Equalizer 2: Equalizer 3: Equalizer 4: Equalizer 5: Equalizer 6: Exercise 2 Exercise 2 is an exercise to simulate different environmental sounds and the use of reverberation. Here are my exercises: 1. Telephone 2.  In the closet 3. Walkie-talkie 4. Bathroom 5.Airport 6.Indoor stadium
