Spatial design (week6-10)

Week 6 - Assignment 1 presentation Class Summary and Reflection Because there are many students in our class, we continued with the PowerPoint presentations. One classmate's presentation left a deep impression on me as both her speech and PowerPoint were excellent in every aspect. Her speech was fluent, confident, and delivered smoothly without notes. The content of her PowerPoint was detailed and rich, with her own insights. I will learn from her strengths and work on improving myself. https://www.canva.cn/design/DAGUTs9ixak/vvYY7gKBjI48y8ehXi6FPQ/edit?utm_content=DAGUTs9ixak&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton Week 7 - Assignment 2 partA  presentation Class Summary and Reflection Before the class, we had already completed Part A of Assignment 2 and created our PowerPoint presentations. In this class, the teacher asked us to present our ideas and turn them into PowerPoint slides for everyone to showcase in class. The teacher provided g...

Environment design

I missed the first three weeks of class because of my visa Week 4 Class Summary and Reflection This week's task is to draw the front views of 12 buildings based on the reference images we find. Then, we need to select 6 of those photos and create two-point perspective drawings from them. Week 5 Class Summary and Reflection In class, we completed the homework from the previous lesson: drawing twelve perspective views and finishing the outlines. After the teacher reviewed our pencil sketches, we went over them with ink and added some details to make the drawings look more complete. At the end of the class, the teacher also asked us why we chose this major, and our classmates' answers were all very interesting. The teacher assigned next week's homework: to collect as many movie or magazine photos as possible (including architectural elements), at least 20 images. Based on these photos, we need to create ten abstract paintings that also reflect design concepts. Week 6 Class Sum...

Application design(4—5)

Image
I missed the first three weeks of class because of my visa Week 4- presentation Class Summary and Reflection In this class, each of us gave a presentation. Beforehand, we had all chosen a specific program to create a PowerPoint presentation, which included an introduction, background, and a comparison with other applications. We also discussed what we think makes the program competitive, pointed out areas where its design could be improved, and analyzed its target user group, among other things. Week 5- Designing for User Class Summary and Reflection Before the class, the teacher asked us to prepare sticky notes for categorization during the lesson. We were to write some steps on the sticky notes and use different colors to categorize them. We could add or remove steps to improve the process and make it more perfect. Then, the teacher asked us to choose another process to categorize, and we chose the process of a hospital.

3D Modeling

I missed the first three weeks of class because of my visa Week 4 Cylindrical Modeling Class Summary and Reflection In this class, we focused on circles and columns. We learned how to use keyboard shortcuts for creation. During the lesson, we also learned how to make a plastic bottle. The teacher taught us simple methods to create it, making the design smoother and more aesthetically pleasing. EXERCISE 2: MODELING FROM CYLINDRICAL SHAPE Think of any object made of cylindrical shape such as a plate, bottle, bowl, glass etc. Make a composition from multiple different objects as in the example. Get as much as references such as blueprint or images for selected objects. Model the object using a primitive cylinder by utilising modeling tools like Extrude, Bevel, Inset and Loop Cut. Apply a smooth modifier and adjust the sharpness or smoothness of the corner using various techniques. Use Viewport rendering in Blender for final output. Output size is 1280 x 720 with png format. Upload th...

Spatial Design 1(week4-5)

I missed the first three weeks of class because of my visa Week 4 - Fundamentals of Spatial Planning Class Summary and Reflection In this lesson, we learned about the principles of spatial design, including the seven Gestalt principles of visual perception (figure and background, proximity, closure, symmetry, continuity, similarity, and simplicity) and the six principles of composition (contrast, proportion, repetition, rhythm, balance, and hierarchy). The teacher showed us many images to help us better understand these concepts and how to apply them in real life and in our work. We also learned how to express these elements using 3D modeling and our own ideas. Week 5-Assignment1 presentation Class Summary and Reflection In this lesson, we did a presentation using PowerPoint. Although it wasn't my turn, I watched many of my classmates' presentations and compared them with my own. I realized my shortcomings and learned from their experiences, then made improvements to my own Pow...
